Tehran-backed Hezbollah is still reeling from last week’s walkie-talkie and pager explosions, but an Iranian MP has asserted that a pager burst was the cause of the May helicopter crash that killed former president Ebrahim Raisi.
This comes after more than 3,000 people were hurt and at least 39 people died in pager explosions that occurred throughout Syria and Lebanon. Raisi utilized a pager, according to Iranian MP Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani, albeit the model he held might not have been the same as those used by Hezbollah forces. “One likely scenario regarding the deadly helicopter crash that killed President Ebrahim Raisi is the explosion of his pager,” Ardestani stated.
